(I'm sure I've stolen that title by mistake. My apologies in advance.)

I will be writing about what I’ve observed to be the many sociological contributors to the exponential rise in transgender identification.

I am not a sociologist. I am a transsexual man who is concerned with this wave of transition, primarily impacting adolescent girls, and I have insider perspective that others may find enlightening. I tend to see in patterns rather than details, which is why I focus on the larger social trends and drivers rather than psychological ones.

I do also have a BA in Geography… if that helps.

Please bare with me as this will be a bumpy and likely uncomfortable ride. I haven’t written more than a five tweet thread since leaving college. I’ll likely include humor (where the topic permits) as a security blanket to mask my lack of formal writing skills.
