There is so much conflation in the trans debate. You have written eloquently about the conflation in conversion therapy here, and I am concerned about the conflation of homosexuality and being trans. People believe they are the same thing. In fact the whole trans umbrella mixes prepubescent teens & genuine dysphoria with transvestite flashers! It is a real maze for the vast majority of people.

With respect to AGP, this of course raises a real question whether conversion therapy could ever be ethical. Apparently in her new book, Debbie Hayton describes asking whether he (as a man) could have conversion therapy, to make his desire to be a woman go away.

On hearing the stories of AGPs it seems undoubtable that their orientation is not conducive to happiness as it obstructs them in forming stable sexual relationships (which are good for men). It is a real question to what extent AGP is innate and to what extent it is aggravated by pornography and by activity like cross-dressing.

Some men learn to manage their AGP and others do not. Is therapy to help men to manage their AGP conversion therapy? And secondly, even if it is conversion therapy, is therefore wrong if it helps them to maintain stable marriages (which they may want)? And what about therapy to help those who are minor attracted to lessen those urges so that they never ever hurt a child?

Yes this is a can of worms, but we can't avoid these conversations.

85% of kids grow out of gender dysphoria on their own and ID again as their birth gender, unless given harmful gender meds. but even if they dont grow out of it, theres no evidence gender meds and social transition help gender dysphoria. UK medical group BMJ feb 2023 report "Gender dysphoria in young people is rising" explains how we got to a place where many think gender meds help dysphoric ppl. its not based on evidence. turns out this claim is based on the opinion of drs who are getting rich providing this "care". IOW its fraud. UK and Euro gov reviews found puberty blockers and gender hormones dont help gender dysphoria or anything else significant like menal health or social funcion. so what are kids with gender dysphoria supposed to do? the answer is dont socially transition and dont take gender meds. both those things do more harm than good. the answer is non affirming psych care to see whats causing gender dysphoria in the first place. gender dysphoria is caused by issues relating to trama or abuse. or it can be a normal reaction of a proto gay child realizing theyre gay. the answer is to support gay, gnc and dysphoric ppl to accept their bodys and their biological sex, not reject it. why not? becuase gender care leads to misery for most. amsterdam has 50 years of data of ppl on gender meds. they say that long term ppl on these meds die early 2X more than ave and commit suicide 20X more than ave. sound fun? its not. i can understand why some womem amd girls would want to opt out of sexist stereotypes attached to their gender. but instead of this how about get away from the bigots and misogynists in your life. anyone who knows sum1 who has been mtf trans for a # of years knows how miserable and in need of psych care they are.

Once kids start taking puberty blockers 98% go on to sterilizing gender hormones which starts them on a path toward this misery. to the handful of "trans" ppl who say "it works for me!" . i say great. but it doesnt for most. and theres no test to know which of the tiny minority who arent represented by any actual evidence would benefit from this.

like many GC ppl i support the right of adult ppl to ID as "trans". but like the LGB community, adult trans ppl are just one more group who are and will be steam rolled by big gender with a predictable backlash.
